বাক্য (Sentence)

ইংরেজীতে কথোপকথনরে জন্য Sentence সম্পর্কে ধারনা থাকা প্রয়োজন। Sentence সম্পর্কে সম্যক ধারনা থাকলে কথোপকথন সহজ হবে। একাধিক শব্দ বা word একত্রে বসে যদি মনের একটি ভাব পুরাপুরি প্রকাশ করে তবে তাকে Sentence বা বাক্য বলে। (A sentence is a set of words which gives a complete sense) অর্থভেদে Sentence কে পাঁচ ভাগে ভাগ করা হয়েছে।

☛ Assertive sentence (বিবৃতি বা বর্ণনামূলক বাক্য)               
           〉 Affirmative sentence
           〉 Negative sentence
☛ Interrogative sentence (প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য)
☛ Imperative sentence (অনুজ্ঞাবোধক বা আদেশসূচক বাক্য)
☛ Optative sentence (ইচ্ছাসূচক বাক্য)
☛ Exclamatory sentence (আবেগ বা বিস্ময়সূচক বাক্য)
