Question: A dialogue between doctor and patient about illness
Myself: Good evening, sir! (শুভ সন্ধ্যা, স্যার!)
Doctor: Good evening! Tell what's the problem? (শুভ সন্ধ্যা! তোমার সমস্যা কি বল?)
Myself: I have been suffering from fever since yesterday.I need immediate care because my final exam is near at hand. (আমি গতকাল থেকে জ্বরে ভুগছি। আমার ফাইনাল পরীক্ষা সামনেই তাই আমার জরুরি চিকিৎসা দরকার ।)
Doctor: Have you any other problem? (তোমার কি আর কোন সমস্যা আছে?)
Myself: I have headache and fever. (আমার মাথা ব্যাথা ও জ্বর আছে।)
Doctor: Let me check your pulse and check your fever. At this time the fever is 102 degrees. Don't worry, nothing serious. I am giving you some medicine and you will be fine in few days. (আমাকে তোমার স্পন্দন অনুভব করতে দাও এবং জ্বর পরীক্ষা করতে দাও। এ সময় জ্বর থাকে ১০২ ডিগ্রি। চিন্তা করবে না, গুরুতর কিছু নেই। আমি তোমাকে কিছু ওষুধ দিচ্ছি এবং তুমি কয়েক দিনের মধ্যে ঠিক হয়ে যাবে।)

Myself: Thank you, doctor. (আপনাকে ধন্যবাদ, ডাক্তার)
Doctor: Do you have a cough? But get your blood tested for malaria and bring the report tomorrow. (তোমার কি কাশি আছে? কিন্তু ম্যালেরিয়ার জন্য আপনার রক্ত পরীক্ষা করুন এবং আগামীকাল রিপোর্ট নিয়ে আসুন ।)
Myself: Ok sir, i will do it. (ঠিক আছে ডাক্তার।)
Doctor: You have to take 2 days rest. (তোমাকে ২ দিন বিশ্রাম নিতে হবে ।)
Myself : Would you mind preparing a medical certificate to submit to my school? (আপনি কি আমার স্কুলে জমা দেওয়ার জন্য একটি মেডিকেল সার্টিফিকেট প্রস্তুত করে দিবেন?)
Doctor: Sure. (ওহ অবশ্যই। )
Myself : Thank you very much. Please tell me how should I take this medicine? (আপনাকে অনেক ধন্যবাদ। দয়া করে আমাকে বলুন আমি কিভাবে এই ওষুধটি গ্রহণ করব?)
Doctor: This medicine is for a day only. Take this dose as soon as you reach your home and the second at 3 pm and the third at night before sleeping. (এই ঔষধটা মাত্র একদিনের জন্য। তুমি তোমার বাড়িতে পৌঁছানোর সাথে সাথে এই ডোজটি নেবে এবং দ্বিতীয়টি বিকাল ৩ টায় এবং তৃতীয়টি রাতে ঘুমানোর আগে।)
Myself: What should I eat doctor? ((আমার কি খাওয়া উচিত ডাক্তার?))
Doctor: You should eat only light food. You can take milk and fresh fruit also. (হালকা খাবার খেতে হবে। দুধ ও তাজা ফলও খেতে পারো।)
Myself: How much should I pay you doctor? (আমি আপনাকে কত দিতে পারি ডাক্তার?)
Doctor: 500 Tk only. (৫০০ টাকা মাত্র।)
Myself: Here it is please. (এখানে এটা দয়া করে নিন। ধন্যবাদ ডাক্তার।)
Doctor: It’s all right. (সব ঠিক আছে।)
Myself: Thank you doctor. I shall see you tomorrow with my blood report. (ধন্যবাদ ডাক্তার। আমার রক্তের রিপোর্ট নিয়ে কাল দেখা হবে।)
Doctor: OK, Take care of your health. (ঠিক আছে, তোমার স্বাস্থ্যের যত্ন নাও।)
